Strong schools are essential to a vibrant community
which, in turn, is essential to a strong business environment
and a high quality of life for all residents.
- Keep
Pleasanton schools in the top three percent (3%) of
the state, as evidenced by California Standardized
Testing and Reporting Program.
- Maintain
and enhance financial health and stability of local
education programs, specifically Pleasanton Unified
School District and Las Positas College.
- Expand
partnership opportunities between businesses, school
district and college staff and students.
- Maintain
high rates of high school and community college students
graduating to 4-year colleges and universities.
- Expand
Las Positas College to meet the high quality educational
and career training needs of the community.
- Maintain
high-quality public and private library facilities
for the youth and adults in our community.
- Support
the arts and music education programs in the schools.
