of its low crime and safe streets and understands that
excellent public safety resources are an essential part
of the desirability of the City.
- Maintain
high public safety responsiveness to community needs
and requests for service.
- Police
emergency response time of 4 minutes or less and
average non-emergency response time of 18 minutes.
- Firefighting
and first responder medical care response time
of seven minutes or less from time of 911 call
in 90% of all incidents.
- Maintain
Pleasanton's ranking as one of California's safest
cities with among the most effective police and fire
agencies.
- Enforce
zero tolerance policies on gangs and graffiti and
ensure that most graffiti is removed within 48 hours
of being reported.
- Actively
engage the community in identifying problems early
and working to prevent crimes from occurring.
- Maintain
a comprehensive citywide disaster response plan to
all natural and man-made disasters, and ensure it
is communicated to the community.
