Perspective:
Pleasanton must improve transportation mobility, safety
and effectiveness to meet the needs of the community
as a whole.
- Enhance
and complete the planned local arterial system that
provides the entire community (residents, shoppers
and employees) with full mobility and which interfaces
appropriately with regional plans and requirements.
- Support
the use of a community based process to derive solutions
to transportation problems that does not preclude
or eliminate currently available options.
- Aggressively
pursue local, county, state and federal funding to
implement planned improvements.
- Support
adequate access and on-street/off-street parking in
downtown Pleasanton.
- Encourage
the development of a wide range of commute alternatives
to provide a balanced transportation network.
- Support
the Transportation
Policies of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce.
