Pleasanton is widely recognized as a premier community to live and do business in. Its businesses play a significant role in this; they contribute over 60% of the tax base and are the economic engine that produces the jobs, incomes, and investments that support our extraordinary quality of life. They are also the people who reside, work and shop in Pleasanton. Accordingly, we believe that business has an important place in efforts to maintain and improve Pleasanton.
As
a representative of, and advocate for, the business community,
the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce has identified eight major
areas of interest that we feel are important to the City,
that the business community has an interest in, and that we
can support. In addition, the Chamber has been an early and
strong supporter of the "Community
of Character" and has pledged to conduct its business
in accordance with these principles: |
