KPIX's John Kessler Brings 'Aloha Spirit' to Support Local Hospice

This May, those who know the benefits of hospice care and wish to support the vital work of Hope Hospice, will dawn tropical evening attire for this exotic annual fundraiser. Proceeds go directly to Hope Hospice, a non-profit hospice organization that, for 27 years, has provided quality, end-of life care for patients and compassionate grief support for families in the San Ramon and Tri-Valley communities. Services are provided regardless of health benefits or ability to pay.
On May 16, 2008, amid the vintage auto collection at the Blackhawk Museum, the Ship of Hope Gala will head for Destination: Island Paradise. At the helm, emcee John Kessler (KPIX – 5 News) will join sponsors, VIP’s, and guests to embark on a magical journey of tropical splendor. Evoking a land of soft ferns, swaying palms, and tropical breezes, Destination: Island Paradise will bring the flavor of the tropics in cuisine by Scott’s and the passion of “Tahiti Nui” as they dramatize Tahitian Island legend in traditional dance and dress. To round out the evening of fine food and great entertainment, those who ‘share the Aloha spirit’ will swing to the romantic sounds of the CoolTones.
