The Pleasanton Chamber supports the full integration of land use and transportation planning to create a jobs-housing-transportation match, including the development of a transportation plan for the future, identifying key challenges, setting goals, and evaluating performance towards achieving the vision for the future. Time is of the essence: once made, plans must be enacted at the earliest possible time so that improvements are realized.
Local and Regional Improvements
The Pleasanton Chamber supports the implementation of local roadway improvement projects that will enhance Citywide circulation and mobility, reduce congestion, improve safety, provide for the future growth of business and housing within the City of Pleasanton and benefit the local community as a whole. The Pleasanton Chamber supports regional highway improvement projects that improve mobility, reduce congestion, and improve safety and provide a regional benefit for the citizens of Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley. Projects within the Tri-Valley freeway network and identified in the Triangle Study should be aggressively advanced to a high state of readiness to qualify for available construction funding as it becomes available.
