What it is
The Healthy Habits Challenge engages businesses, individuals and families in a 30-day challenge to help you live healthier, happier, more productive lives. The challenge is this: adopt one new healthy habit and practice it for 30 days. In turn, these healthy habits will increase personal and workplace productivity, help prevent chronic conditions that are often the result of poor habits and beat back the rising costs of healthcare. Individuals and families can be part of a motivating, positive city-wide event and learn about some new ideas for healthy living. Businesses can see greater workplace productivity and improve teambuilding skills. Organizations can gain great exposure for their health-related programs. The Chamber’s Facebook page has information about the challenge, ideas of healthy habits and choice.
The inaugural Healthy Habits Challenge took place from August 9 to September 9, 2012. Stay tuned for information on Healthy Habits Challenge 2013. For suggestions and ideas of future Healthy Habits Challenges, email us and tell us your thoughts.
