The Pleasanton Senior Center offers a wide variety of drop-in activities. Enrichment classes include: exercise, line dance, arts & crafts, book group, cooking, cards & games, VIP Club meetings, trip programs, volunteer opportunities and special events.
The Senior Center also offers a Senior Nutrition Meals Program (Snappy Café) on site. Home-delivered meals are available for qualifying homebound adults age 60 and over.

The City encourages the construction of affordable rental housing through its Growth Management Program (GMP) by allowing special consideration for projects, which provide units at below-market rent levels. Approximately 750 below-market rental (BMR) apartment units have been built under Pleasanton's GMP since the mid-1980's. Information on these BMR apartments (which are not age-restricted) may be obtained by contacting the City's Housing Division at 925-931-5007.
 
The Housing Authority of Alameda County can also provide information on housing opportunities involving federal and/or state assistance (such as Section 8 and rental assistance). The office is located at 22941 Atherton Street, Hayward California, 945-41-6633 (510-538-8876).
