Hope Hospice and Home Health presents a 4-part dementia education series targeted to family caregivers, available year-round at no cost, even for persons who do not have a family member as one of our patients. Topics rotate each month and repeat three times per year. On Tuesday, May 28, the topic is: Dementia Basics. Class runs 1 to 2:30 p.m. at our corporate office, 6377 Clark Avenue, Suite 100, Dublin 94568. *Note: the Dementia series generally takes place on Mondays, but this class is on a Tuesday due to the Memorial Day holiday. This class explores the various diseases and conditions that may produce dementia symptoms. There is an emphasis on the stages of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, as well as a discussion of eight essential brain abilities and how each is impacted by dementia.
